Recording Tracking Numbers from Drop Shippers
If a drop shipper is used and the drop shipper sends you the tracking information after the item is shipped, the tracking number should be recorded in the SixBit order record,, which will notify the buyer. After recording the tracking number, mark the item as shipped so the proper notifications are sent and the order is moved to Fulfilled.
To record a tracking number from a drop shipper:
- Open the Ship Orders mode. How?How?
- Select the In Process status.
- From the grid, select the order that contains the shipment that was shipped.
- Double-click the row or click the Edit button to open the order record.
- Enter the Tracking Number for the shipment that was shipped.
- Click OK to save the changes and exit.
- Mark the item as shipped so any automatic emails are sent and the order is properly moved to Fulfilled.
