Maintaining Your Data
All of the data that is entered into SixBit is stored in a database. SixBit is built upon a Microsoft SQL Server 2014 database. SQL Server is one of the most powerful databases available for the desktop and will provide a solid foundation for storing data while offering almost unlimited growth potential. The best part is you really do not need to know anything at all about SQL Server. Backup and restore features are available from the File Menu and other than that, you really do not have to interact with the database. If however, you want to interact with the database and have the need to tightly integrate it with other tools or data sources, you can do that too.
With an SQL Server database, you can connect many users to the same database and not suffer any slow down. Multiple users running on different computers on a network can all connect to the same database to share access and work as a cohesive unit.
