Creating a New Database
There are several reasons why a new database may need to be created.
If you run multiple businesses or help someone else with their business, you may want to keep the data in separate databases; this can be done by creating a new database for each new business that will be managed. In addition, after data has been imported, you may want to start fresh with a new database and a fresh import. Regardless of the reason, a new, empty database can be easily created.
- From the File menu, select
Database|Create New Database.

- Enter the name for the new database. (i.e. the name of the business or person for which the database is being created)
- After providing a name, the new database will be created and SixBit will switch to the new database. Since it is an empty database, the profile information must be completed, just as it was the first time SixBit was run. Refer to Setting Up a Profile for more information.
