Background:
SixBit uses controls from 3rd party vendors for some functions. For our picture editor, we use controls from a company called Atalasoft.
Symptom:
When opening the Picture Editor, the user receives the following error.
".... Could not load file or assembly 'Atalasoft.dotImage.Lib.dll' or one of its dependencies"
Possible Causes:
The Atalasoft controls require a copy of Microsofts Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package be installed on your computer. The SixBit installer installs this however, on some computers it later is removed for reasons we aren't sure of.
Solution:
To solve the problem, go download the 32 bit version of the Visual C++ redistributable OR the 64 bit Visual C++ Redistributable. Make sure you download the proper version for your operating system (32 vs. 64 bit).
