Creating a User

Each user who accesses SixBit should have their own user login.  A user login can be created from scratch or by duplicating an existing user login.

 

To create a user login from scratch:

1. Open the Manage Users window.  How?How?From the File Menu in the top left, select Manage and then User Permissions.
   
   
   
    

2. Click New.
3. Enter a name for the new user login and click OK.  The User Permissions window will appear.

 

4. Enter the users Full Name.
5. Enter a Password to make the account password protected.
6. Check Grant administrator privileges to give the user administrative rights and the ability create new users.  Administrators will appear in bold on the Manage Users window.

 

To create a user login from and existing user:

1. Open the Manage Users window.  How?How?From the File Menu in the top left, select Manage and then User Permissions.
   
   
   
    

2. Select the user you would like to duplicate.
3. Click Duplicate.
4. Enter a name for the new user login and click OK.  The new user will appear in the list.
5. Select the new user and click the Edit button.  The User Permissions window will appear.

 

5. Enter the users Full Name.
6. If you would like to make this account password protected, enter a Password.
7. If you would like this user to have administrative rights and be able to create other users, check Grant administrator privileges.  Administrators will appear in bold on the Manage Users window.
