Timothy, to be honest I don’t use any of the SixBit built-in views because I can’t easily look at the underlying queries, and therefore don’t totally trust them. Part of the problem is probably because I sell on multiple venues (eBay, Etsy, and occasional over the counter Amazon sales), so my needs are a bit complex. I build all of my own views with Advanced Search. Bottom line is that I can’t answer your question. But SixBit is extremely powerful and flexible, and provides lots of tools such as folders, views (saved searches) and custom fields that can be used to customize the application for your own needs. Experiment. Play around with different things. If doing that makes you nervous, just make sure you take a manual backup. And keep asking questions here in the forum. Good luck.
I tried that, but it didn’t work. For me NULL is the only thing that means zero when using Quantity Currently Listed (eBay). Not that big a deal now that I know, but they really should be consistent.
I do it a little differently. Rather than using Workflow folders, I have a folder in the repository named Awaiting Upload and park listings there. In my case, I usually want to submit the listings to eBay, but hold off submitting to Etsy, or vice versa. They will stay in that folder until I change folders. It works for me, but I think either method would it.
I’ve been using SixBit for years and have had my share of backup failures. It has always been a permissions problem somewhere. Open a ticket if you haven’t already.
This has been an intermittent problem for years. I haven’t had it in a long time, but I used to clear it up usually by re-uploading the pictures. I think I used to clear it up other times by revising something (it doesn’t matter what) in the listing on eBay. Revising through SB didn’t help.
Thanks for the clarification.
I’m a little confused though. When I look at my sales analysis report for Etsy sales, more often than not it shows the listing fee as 2 cents ($0.02) instead of 20 cents ($0.20) which is the Etsy listing fee. Is there a reason for this, or is it a bug?
I had an oversell today on an item I was selling on eBay and Etsy. It turned out I had screwed up the allocation plans. One allo plan, I’m assuming for eBay, is available in the items grid, although it doesn’t indicate which site. Would it be possible to have both eBay and Etsy allo plans available to display in the grid, and labeled as to the site? It would make life easier in looking for problems, although I know it’s possible to put together a saved search(s).
Have you thought to open a ticket? SixBit has the best group of developers and the best support in the business. But simply complaining in a discussion forum isn’t going to help you much. You actually already hit upon the solution.
I see them now. I must’ve had a senior moment. Thanks.
I’m on .173. I thought it was fixed as well.
This is a problem with Etsy orders as well. Etsy is probably passing SixBit the wrong date because I believe they don’t take weekends and holidays into consideration, but it would be nice if SixBit could display it properly. I’m attaching a screen shot of an order where the latest ship date should be 10/26 in accordance with my 3 business day shipping policy. Not a huge problem, but it is an annoyance.
Whenever I’ve had these kind of errors it’s always been a problem with permissions. Open a ticket and they can help you.
Custom fields, over the counter orders, and custom GTC durations are all features that I couldn’t do without even if I was a much smaller volume seller.
This was a change that eBay announced quite a while ago, so it shouldn’t be a surprise. They are no longer providing actual email addresses to sellers. Your sales history will be updated with the disguised email addresses when/if the sales record is refreshed. It has nothing to do with SixBit. They store in the database whatever eBay passes to them.
Something that I do to hedge against that situation a little bit is to set my custom duration to 29 days rather than 30.
