    David:
The process is very similar to what you are doing to reassign and submit the listings individually. Just put the reassignment settings into a Batch Change Definition. Then you can select multiple items and make the changes all at once. After that, you can resubmit the listings as usual.

Be careful that any Presets (e.g., Payment or Shipping Presets) apply to the correct Profile. See attached.

I struggled with this too, was over-thinking it, and could not figure out how to change all Sixbit shipping settings. Turns out that all the necessary changes were made in my eBay account; no changes required to Sixbit Shipping setups at all.

Adding eBay International increased my sales by about 5% or 6% over the last 5 months. I mostly sell small computer parts with packages usually 4 to 12 ounces.

    Another big plus:
You ship your item to the eBay hub. After it arrives there, eBay manages the international shipping and customs process. And eBay works with the buyer to resolve ALL issues (thus, no returns). So, after the item arrives at the hub, you can tell your customers to “please contact eBay directly for answers to your questions”.

Go into Check Listings mode, Click on the Workflow tab, then click on “Running”. This shows your active listings only. See the attach picture.

Look at the item in your Repository under Sell Items. Not in Check Listings.

I think you have to change that in the Item view.  You may also find that you have to correct your available inventory. Then go to listing view and send revisions to site. Make sure you are not offering more for sale than you have available. You don’t want to sell an extra one if you are out of stock.

    Don:

For 2 years or so, I have been sending ship notifications for all my items. I think buyers are receiving these as this has basically stopped all questions from buyers asking things like: have you shipped yet or where is my item, etc. And every now and then I get a reply saying “thanks”.

Paul: It does seem that you will need help from Support unless you have enough SQL database experience.

Perhaps if you recover the database file itself from the M2, you can move the old file to your new system and get it connected to your database server. This will require using the SQL Management tools to Attach the database file to the SQL server running on your replacement hardware.

See the attached screenshot that shows the Sixbit data file name on my system.

Bill: I use SixBit Shipping Presets because I understand them better than I understand eBay Business Policies. I am not sure which may be “the better” of the two.

Most of my eBay items offer both calculated First Class mail and/or Priority mail. Like you mentioned, I charge retail postage rates and keep the discount to help cover other shipping costs.

You set up your eBay account (outside of SixBit) to offer the discounted rates by going online to Account Settings, Manage shipping settings, and then edit Offer carrier-specific discounts for buyers.

Sixbit still has Shipping Presets. Go to File / Manage / Presets / Shipping Presets in order to see & manage them. There are separate Preset lists for each User Profile that may you have. Make sure to select the correct Profile at the top of the pop-up list.

It seems tom me that a year or so ago, the list was common across all Profiles. I use multiple Profiles, so I got confused when this SixBit feature was improved.

Michael: I did not have exactly the same issue but I wanted to export some pictures from my database. I used Export > Export to File > Items. Then in the Export Mapping window, include “Pictures Path” and check the option at the bottom for “When exporting pictures create in folder” and set a path for the exported images. See the attached screenshot.

SixBit does this only when submitting one item at a time from the Item Window. I am running V.404. (With older versions, there was a time when there was no Ok button popup.)

As an alternative, when you are on the Item Window, you use the “Move To” drop down list to move the item into Awaiting Upload. Then upload the items from the Awaiting Upload view.

    James:

I sell small similar/related items and did something similar. It is confusing to explain. What I did:

    1) Set up rules in my eBay account using the link above from John Manning above (for Site Preferences/Shipping Preferences/Manage Shipping Settings find and configure both Combined Payments & Promotional Shipping Rules).

You still have to instruct Sixbit to use the rules that you configure on eBay.

In Sixbit you probably already use a Shipping Preset for these items. If not, you might want to use the same Shipping preset for all coins.

    2) In Sixbit, in the Shipping Preset look for “Combined Shipping Discounts”.

I have both boxes checked for “Apply my Promotional Shipping Rule” and “Apply my calculated Shipping Rule” and have also selected the name of the Calculated Shipping Rule that I want to use in the dropdown box.

    3) The intent is for buyers to place everything in their shopping cart and pay at one time. If they do not do so, eBay does not give them a shipping discount. It still helps to put a [[snippet]] with that instruction to your buyers. I do this in the Description Wrapper that I use for these items.

    Caveats:

I do not use Business Policies on eBay.

I do not ship outside the US.

Sixbit Tech support can help you if you open a ticket but you might want to look into all this info first.

    Owen:

I have a few items in my inventory where one inventory item could be made to create multiple eBay fixed-price listings with different titles. So I have a partial understanding of what you meant in your original post.

And it seems that not everything on eBay is ever going to fit into the product based view that John Manning discussed.

Did you find any work-around in SixBit that helps you manage your inventory for these type of items? Any insights are welcomed.

Seeing English in the box is not enough. You must also click the “Add” button or box. Then you will see English above the box with a checkmark next to it.

This is still a problem. Is there any way to get eBay’s attention to fix the issue?
