Hey thanks a lot. I’m already doing backup and preparing the Windows 7 Ultimate install.
No worries I had problems with TL2 but it just takes days sometimes…

Too bad my other machine is on service right now I know it would work there. losing patience but it doesn’t mean I won’t install the program.

Great about that lines I know what are you talking and you gonna teach me someday how to do it.
Here is 1:00 PM I’m far away. 🙂

your cool. hope it works. just as a backup put a ticket in now. just as a backup. do what u are doing but do the ticket. keep several different baskets in play while u work it. btw i only installed it at my hobby shop and i gotomypc from home like now to access it (just make sure u have the exact same size monitor where ever u want to access it . although i have done it by phone when ups missing my shipment and im sitting at the ups hub for them to get my merch and update listings from there (best 10 am month i ever spent lol ( on gotomypc) hitting the sack now. ill check how this went after i woke up
Updated in post before what else I did. I’m not posting ticket just yet if you already did it’s ok and thank you.
I’ll try to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium > Ultimate that was my last option anyway.

Didn’t understand what about exact same size monitor? I’m using teamviewer for that stuff.
Cool about updating from phone I got several people working if I’m not around or out of the country.

@MOE : Thanks, I found that article and tried that before I posted here and couldn’t make it to work.
@KH : Thanks, I couldn’t find it only SQL Server VSS Writer, but is there a SQL Sixbit service there even the program is not completely installed?

Tried at friends house yesterday and it installed with no problem, he is using Windows 7 Ultimate and I’m using Windows 7 Home Premium.
Was going to reset the computer to factory settings but I guess it won’t help much if it’s a common problem…

I’ll try some more today but I’m losing patience.

i mentioned i put a ticket in for u. i also pm john the owner (but he is not online yet) but if i remember correctly when i had a similar problem the very first time, on the remote session, they turned off my antivirus software while it was installing. if your friend does not have a good antivirus software program, then maybe thats why it installed there and not yours. just giving u options till you get an answer from support ticket
Not sure but it could be firewall, I opened the port in cmd.exe in one of the attempts :
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name = SQLPort dir = in protocol = tcp action = allow localport = 1433 remoteip = localsubnet profile = DOMAIN

Also checked if drive is compressed, changed the computer name, tried manual install of SQL 2008 R2 for which I got the same error, tried multiple reboots before installation, if I remember some more that I did I’ll add…

Using Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
