These discount sale items were selected manually. The selections were not based on any specific rule. I solved the issue by bulk updating the Notes field to contain the word SALE. This allows me to easily find the items.
So there is no way within SixBit to sort/segregate/search sale event items or listings?
Thanks for the info. Guess I’ll stick with SQL 2014.
Hopefully I won’t need to purchase a new computer for several years after this recent replacement, but I will file that info for any future need. Luckily, I took a screenshot of the item window which made re-creating it easier.
I’ve been using the default SQL 2014 with Windows 11 for over a week now with no issues. Just curious if there are any performance benefits to upgrading to a newer version of SQL?
On a side note… it would be nice to have users’ Item Window layouts saved/backed up so they do not need to be re-created when re-installing SixBit. As far as I know the save as default in that window doesn’t have the option to save to a backup location.
Has the SQL upgrade guide been completed? I don’t see it in the documentation area, but maybe I just missed it. I just purchased a new desktop with Windows 11. SixBit is up and running using the default SQL 2014, but according to Microsoft this version is not supported in Windows 11 (see photo).
I was not in the GSP program. I did some testing today. First, I removed all other international shipping options from the preset on a single listing and revised through SixBit. When I checked the listing on ebay with a Canadian postal code it said no shipping to Canada available. I then reset the listing and edited it on ebay deselecting other shipping services. This time it did default to ebay international shipping. It seems there is something with the way SixBit is communicating the shipping info.
The cost to the buyer shown was higher for the new program than ebay international standard, so I probably won’t end up using it anyway.
I had an international order today and the shipping defaulted to ebay international standard delivery, which is not the same as ebay international shipping according to the chart shown below. I guess I’ll try removing all international options from the preset and see what happens next time.
Yes, I used the option to revise after saving the preset. All of my new listings have this enabled, but I haven’t had an international order since I made the change. I did notice when viewing the instructions on how to make the change on ebay that you need to remove all other international shipping options so that it would default to ebay international shipping. Maybe I need to do this in SixBit? The only service currently selected in SixBit is ebay international standard. I’ll see what happens on my next international order.
According to the shipping preferences page on my ebay account I am enrolled. I also did receive an email about it, although I don’t recall actually opting in.
Thanks for the info.
I don’t have anything showing in the listing violations view or in the dashboard. When I hover over item specifics that I know are soon to be required the tooltip just says “Users searched for this item specific X times.” I guess I’ll just make sure all required specifics are filled in as I relist ended items. Is there a hard date (if that even exists in ebay world) when these go into effect?
I am getting the same script error and am unable to update.
Thanks for the info. This does seem to be the case in most instances. I did notice in at least one specific this is not quite right. Under Jewelry & Watches > Fine Jewelry > Fine Rings > Gemstone the Sizable specific is a yes or no choice but it is also colored blue.
Same here.
What all does the uninstall and reinstall entail? Is this just the app or will everything (sql, network, etc.) need to be set up again?
