In the scenario that’s giving me trouble, I’m updating my “self” inventory and our drop shipper is out (already at 0).
I should elaborate a little.
I’m using QuickBooks for our in-house inventory. After I enter the invoices that we received today, I export our inventory from QB in a csv file. The sales for today won’t have gone into QB yet, so if I’ve sold the last 1 of an item today, my QB inventory will still show 1 until tomorrow when all the sales get exported from SixBit into QB. When I run that csv file through SB(using “ReconcileTo” on our “self” inventory) then anything that’s sold today ends up with 1 extra.
This is really only an issue when we get down to the last few items. If I look at the self inventory on SB it will now show 1 under “Number of uncommitted items” but it will also still show 1 under “number of committed items” and “which means your physical inventory should be” 2 when in reality the physical inventory is still only 1.
I could potentially solve this by exporting the sales from SB into QB just before I export the inventory from QB to SB, however I can’t find a good way to keep track of which sales have been exported except to do so on a previous day basis each morning.
I’m open to any suggestions on this issue. Thanks!
