I managed to find a fix. Basically as you described but with a twist.
Exported old database as a sql script and used server management studio to run the script.
Threw a few errors as the script executed but I have not seen any corruption.
Simply copying the files over didn’t work, I have no idea why, may have had something to do with the fact that I was using a slightly
out of date copy of Sixbit before the old system crashed.
Lol, I IMMEDIATELY backed it up!
