I agree with Jay. Personally I almost never use them because as stated it’s a recipe for SNAD unless you review them very carefully. The product info comes from various sources depending on the category. Media info is provided by Muze. 50 years ago Muze produced a giant printed “book” that would be bought by stores for customer use. If will filled with errors back then and it’s much worse today.

To be fair to the tortuga the use of the “last activity” is misleading since it’s really “original post”.

Along the same lines, even though it’s hardly a huge deal I really dislike the use of “x days ago” and “x hours ago”, much prefer actual dates and times.

To me it looks like it’s sorted by OP date but the date column showing is the Latest Reply.

Recent seems to be the only view that gives a sort option to the viewer.

I think (not 100% sure) SB will make a new folder for the images.

BUT

I also seem to recall that the files names it will create make it difficult (perhaps impossible) to decipher and recognize.

As far as disk space……..this is 2016, disk space is pennies. If you use a desktop just throw in another hard drive, if you are on a laptop and have more limited space get an external to move some stuff (like your original images) to that to free up some space on your main drive.

Have to say, I hope Santa brings me one of these new 10tb drives from Western Digital….I’ve run out of free hd bays and my eSata ports are all in use!

If you are actually getting near to hitting the 10gb limit for the free SQL Server the easiest way to reduce the size of your database is to remove the images associated with those old Items you won’t be using again. That way you will retain all the listings and sales history.

Did the designer of this forum have shares in scroll wheels? Example, this thread which I’ve been reading, I see on the main page that it’s been replied to (not sure why the Title of the Thread isn’t bold), I click on the “replied to” part but instead of being taken to that reply or even to my last read post I get taken to the first post in the thread.

Now I have to scroll to the bottom of page one, click on page two and then scroll to the bottom of that page to see the reply. If this thread get to 6 pages will I have to repeat that process 6 times?????

One more complaint……I realize it doesn’t matter to much but I see tons of white space everywhere yet the avatars are teeny tiny

The black text is too faint for me.

I hate the green colour.

Too much white space leads to a ton of scrolling.

I just prefer the old school, high contrast and less unused real estate style. You know, pages coded exclusively in Notepad using HTML 4.0

One other thing (not directly related), my avatar is being cropped (my ears are cut off!) even though the file I uploaded is very small (371x480px / 82kb)

I’m here…….the instructions said look for “then go to Support|Discussion Forums”, that’s fine except the dropdown only says “discussion” nothing to indicate “forum”.

First impressions……..the “black” text is REALLY light, the green is really ugly and I detest all the useless white space that only leads to a ton of scrolling!

Of course it’s the content that matters so I’ll get over my complaints in time.
