And it’s NOT the Enterprise level, it’s ALL THE WAY UP to Enterprise Duo level (two levels up from where we’re at, which is not the lowest level either) . “Out of Whack” is a great way to put what that is. And obviously I’m NOT THE ONLY ONE.
No response yet though, probably falling on deaf ears again. Well if they do decide to CONSIDER some changes,
hey guys, ever hear of the term à la carte ? At least for the number of venues you can publish on!
This is actually the point where, when customers are FORCED to look for alternate solutions, they will lose a customer.
A business shouldn’t take that lightly. Keeping a customer is a lot easier than acquiring new customers. And they already have the functionality, so it’s only the arrangements of the subscription tiers to features/pricing that needs fixing. But if they ignore it, that won’t force customers to accept their options. There are other solutions. As an example, our own website is almost complete. I could incorporate solutions in it to make it the central hub, and publish to eBay from it (which would mean I dump Sixbit). I’m not at that point now, in large part because I love Sizbit for this purpose, but if I decide to do that for Etsy (rather than pay Sixbit all that extra money monthly), then why not eBay too?
You might say it’s like a mouse-click away one way or the other…
I click the “Etsy” check-box in Sixbit, and what happens? I’m allowed to add it as my 2nd venue, or…?
Any update on this EXPAND / COLLAPSE Custom Field used as GROUP BY in View?
Awesome. Are we close yet (any ETA)?
John,
well unfortunately Sales Analysis is not available to me unless I upgrade to ENTERPRISE. This brings up a somewhat different point. My business is NOT an Enterprise level business. In fact, I looked closely at what I would gain by upgrading . The fact is, other than the SALES ANALYSIS tools, NONE of the other added features are of use to my business. I just do not need them. And paying DOUBLE just for the Sales Analysis features is not worth it for my business (I even tried Enterprise).
I think you really should SERIOUSLY CONSIDER some sort of ala carte pricing for the various Enterprise level features so Small Business Edition customers could selectively choose what else they need!
Thank you! I’m hopeful… I should have suggested this a long time ago.
OK I’m upgraded to 4.00.015
I understand I will still be locked out until Midnight PST. And I also understand that unfortunately if enough users are NOT upgraded, the problem will happen again tomorrow-whenever the call limit is crossed, which I’m thinking could happen even earlier on a “work day” (and a MONDAY) rather than a weekend. So my business could suffer because of this? This hurts us all, and most of us are not beta testers. Beta testers know there is risk. We on the other hand are paying for and expecting reliable software. But rather than just complain, I think there’s a solution (really there always is). I said it before, isn’t there a way to identify the version of the code/app to eBay, and not have them LOCK EVERY SIXBIT USER OUT because of some faulty BETA Code that only a small number of people are running? I mean, they are only locking Sixbit users out, not other apps. So why can’t Sixbit Beta versions be identified as SIXBIT BETA and others as just SIXBIT to prevent this? Surely eBay would understand why this makes sense (especially in hindsight after this issue) and help facilitate this!!
What do you guys at Sixbit think?
I also have no upgrade option in the dashboard (nor have I received an email stating I should upgrade), so I have been assuming the version I am running 3.1.39.0 is the latest stable NON-BETA version.
EDIT: Oh, now I see the above message.
So 2 questions…
1- am I no longer supposed to rely on the dashboard for update notifications?
2- Should we update now (while locked out of eBay), or wait until it’s working again?
This is what I was afraid of. With the explanation given, am i the only one who saw this possibly coming?
Isn’t there a way to identify the version of the code/app to eBay, and not have them LOCK EVERY SIXBIT USER OUT because of some faulty BETA Code that only a small number of people are running???
Apparently… sales not updating.
Yes, MAJOR ISSUES.
Thanks John. Actually a large percentage of our products are NOT in the ebay catalog.
So you feel a switch to self hosted to use the metadata offers zero benefit as far as search is concerned with Google search, right? I wonder, what about ANY other searches? Google reigns king (currently anyway), but they don’t represent 100%.
Is there nobody at Sixbit that knows?
Thanks. Yeah now I am anxious to get switched.
I did the refund in PayPal yesterday, and I just checked, sure enough it shows up under adjustments and everything is as it should be. I think perhaps it takes a little time and when I checked yesterday it was too soon.
Thanks.
Made some progress with Telerik (just very basic changes), dut definitely still struggling. For example… background colors… found how to edit that, but there remains some blue edge lines (the default blue) and I can’t find the source anywhere!!!
And docs are a must for the data!
