Were you able to successfully run sixbit on your Mac Book Pro? If so, would you mind telling me how you decided to do it and what your experience has been. I would really like to switch to a Mac Book Pro, but I would like to hear from someone who actually runs sixbit on their Mac and how they did it.

I received the following response from support in July:

“It’s not available in the API yet. If you use our shipping presets you would also have to add that payment method to each listing via Seller Hub after each submission or revision.
If the eBay Business Policies support this now on the eBay site, you could switch to those as we don’t send the details, just the Policy ID.”

Make sure you really look at all of the ins and outs to make sure you aren’t going to have issues before signing up. Once you’re in, your’re in and there is no out. You can’t accept paypal at this time in conjunction with managed payments. I also read there are issues with international orders. If you have a capital loan with Paypal, you will be in violation of your Paypal loan agreement. I can’t remember the other issues sellers have ran into. Definitely research it thoroughly before jumping in.

Yes, I had that happen with a couple of listings. The problem was I removed the inventory, deactivated the listings and then ran revise.

You have to remove the inventory, then deactivate the variations after running the revise. Then they won’t show up in the listings.

Ebay did not recognized that I had removed the inventory and deactivated the variation if I did not remove the inventory and revise before deactivating.

    Hopefully this will help.

I would like Web Stores as an option as well. The sooner, the better! I think you are going to see more requests for this.

I don’t plan on using Ebay’s payment service until I have to. Mainly I am looking for other venues. Do you have any other marketplaces you plan to add in the not too distant future?

Well, I tried it for a few days and saw no change either way. Turning off the hardware acceleration made no difference.

Tried turning off hardware acceleration. Immediately received a typical error and sixbit closed. Attached is a screen shot of the error.

I’ll give it a little longer to see if it makes a difference.

I will update this post tomorrow and let you know if I see if any difference.

Unfortunately they have not fixed it and there is not currently an ETA for the repair. I received this response from support yesterday when asking if they had an ETA an upgrade to resolve this:

“We are in the process of working on those Views and tweaking some things to get them to run more efficiently. There is no current ETA on when that will be rolled out into a version yet.”

This morning sixbit has frozen and restarted no less than 4 times. I have only been working about 30 minutes.

I have the same slowness issues along with constant freezing and errors – particularly with “available to list”

It consistently freezes closes and needs restarts when attempt to view certain grids

I have no ideas on how to speed it up but will definitely watch this thread in the hope of solutions.

Sometimes you can wait a minute or two to change views only to have it freeze and start over.

I actually considered exporting my pictures and everything someone tried earlier that did not help.
