If you do not want people to use the forum I can understand the design. Maybe it is just for show.
Cannot get email responses to thread updates.
Cannot get avatar’s to work.
Minimalist design is difficult to use.
I have tried to add an avatar many times and clicked over and over again. Never worked once.
Plus, I am not getting any replies to the threads I have on this forum even though I am subscribed to them.
I wonder why I am not getting any notice of any replies to this thread? I am subscribed to it. I cannot get my avatar to post to this forum either.
If my understanding is correct of the Spring update for TRS as it applies to me this is it.
I am required to offer 30 day free returns “within the USA” to receive TRS benefits (whatever that means). I do not have to offer international the same return policy.
“Exceptions to the 30 day rule.”
I must offer 14 day free returns “within the US” which overrides the 30 day within Collectibles.
I can offer a separate return policy for international. What is the timeline on giving us this option?
I use about 70% on my images but I give ebay a URL so I am not seeing any issues. It might come back to haunt me one day but I give them files normally over 1000×1000 pixal in size at 300 DPI which fills the screen of a high-def monitor. They are normally around 100K or larger in size but at 98% we would be in the megabyte range. If ebay took what I gave them and displayed it everything would be fine. But they want to play with the image and therein is where the problems come from.
Thank you problem fixed. Now when I duplicate for a similar listing I get immediate feedback on the pic. It is an ongoing problem that I have never been able to solve except rechecking the item after a duplicated item has been edited and saved. I normally see the new above the old and if the pic is the same I have a problem.
When is this issue going to come off Beta? I really hate to use Beta in production since I normally get burnt with other problems and manually changing 7000+ listings is not a option. I am currently running 3.00.208.
Next month is October when Chrome goes live with their changes. We are running it kind of close…
I need to do this on 20,000 items. Manually really isn’t an option.
I quit laughing now.
My wife and I are laughing over this.
I solved the problem and can do mass changes to HTML but it is more work than doing them manually.
My job description is problem solver.
I agree this is the worst forum ever. If it was possible to give negative numbers on a scale of 1 to 10 this would deserve a negative -10. I am still trying to figure how to put a topic up. I go to many forums and it is self evident on how to do that. Every time I come to this forum it is a complete mystery.
I am well aware that scheduling my ebay listings with Sixbit is free. The problem is that the scheduling with ebay is next door to the scheduling with Sixbit and a minor click of a mouse changes it from free to pay. Basically the way it is designed it is an accident waiting to happen. Which has happened twice in the last 30 days and probably has happened before.
Basically what I want to do is have the ability to block Sixbit from using ebay to schedule listings so there is no accidental pay. If I need to use ebay to schedule my listings then I can unblock Sixbit.
We already have this ability now with certain ebay features such as 1-3 day listings (OPTIONS->SUBMITTED LISTINGS). This can be added to the same place and we can turn it off and on as needed.
See the attachment showing the Submit Menu.
I want to make “with eBay (eBay fee applies)” an optional display in the Submit Menu. I want to block it so it will not accidentally get selected. If I need it which is not likely to happen I can turn the option back on so I can select it.
So, I’m not sure what you’re saying….
You want this feature removed from SB?
Or, you don’t know how to turn this feature off?
I want the same option as I have with 1 or 3 day listings in ebay. In Sixbits I can block those so they cannot be submitted. I want to have the ability to block ebay schedule listings when I submit them in Sixbits.
The point is as I explained in another response having ebay schedule my listings is an extremely rare need of mine. Probably done it a couple times in 10 years and I submit listings almost every day. Having the option available to use ebay only invites error since it is not needed except in extremely rare circumstances. That error has cost me twice in the last two months.
99.999% of the time I use Sixbit to schedule my listings. I think since 2006 I used ebay twice “on purpose”. Of course I would like to have the option but I want the option to block it too to avoid accidents. I probably spent over $30 in scheduling fees before it was caught. I can block 1 or 3 day listings Sixbits. What is the big deal to block ebay schedule listings?
It has been my experience that no matter how perfect you are you are going to make mistakes. Changing to make this optional removes one more accidental mistake that can happen and it is a small change as far as programming goes.
The problem seems to have stopped since I did a cold-restart AKA shutting down my computer then restarting it. I am going to let it ride for awhile to make sure before I open a ticket.
I probably did a hot-restart instead of a shutdown and restart after the update. It has been my experience that Sixbit can have problems when I do this after a update. By the way Blackthorne had the same problem but I tend to forget it.
