I emailed a repsonse to this ticket earlier today…

Why has Sixbit Support Closed this Ticket without answering?

I have received 3 different responses from 3 different Sixbit Staffers without a straight answer…

Will Sixbit be updating Category / Item Details accordingly to coinicide with the Conditon / Condition Description changes that Ebay has made in regards to these affected categories? If so… when are these updates going to take place?

I am looking for specific information in regards to a resolution for this Conditon / Condition Description issue and if Sixbit plans on remedying it in the near future before I am forced to begin to manually fix hundreds and hundreds of my listings affected by this probelm directly thru Ebay as Sixbit has not options to fix these listings via the software at this time….

On or About 10/26/18 John Manning Stated via the Sixbit Forum:
“In the next beta, 3.00.387 or later, we will send up condition description for categories that don’t require a specified condition.”

I am not sure what Sixbit’s Position is in regards to this matter as I am receiving different responses from different individuals….

Ebay had made these updates / changes to the the Condition / Condition Description some time ago in regards to the – Jewelry & Watches\Vintage & Antique Jewelry\Costume\Retro, Vintage 1930s-1980s… Categories and Other Categories Also….

I need to know if and when Sixbit plans on remedying these Conditon / Condition Description issues as I have hundreds of listings across many categories that need to be updated because as of right now all that is appearing under Condtion Description in many of my listings is two dashes (–) and the different verbiage I had in place for all of these different lisitngs is now gone….

I understand that Ebay makes many changes and Sixbit must try to keep up with all of the changes but this issue has been known for a while and I need the Sixbit Software to be current with these Ebay Updates to run my business properly.

When will the Sixbit Software be updating Category / Item Details accordingly to coinicide with the Conditon / Condition Description changes that Ebay has made in regards to these affected categories?

As JC stated previously, this is an eBay change on their part. We show the available conditions and condition description field based on the category. If eBay has made changes to this on their end it would be reflected in SixBit in any category/item detail updates that run.

This is going to be an issue with eBay. I’ve seen them drop Condition Description from certain categories, and that field is only shown for conditions that require it (Used, Refurbished, etc). You’d have to get in touch with them to get any traction on the matter unfortunately.

Hello!

It has been a week and I have not received a repsonse from Sixbit to my 10/18 email below….

It is essential to my business and the sale of my products to be able to have the Condition Description properly appear in listings when available.

If it is possible to have the Condition Description appear when directly lisitng an item on ebay this option should also be available when listing a product through the Sixbit Software….

Does Sixbit intend on staying up to date with the recent changes that ebay has made in regards to these categories and the Conditon / Condition Description?

Please advise as I need to plan accordingly…

So Ebay has updated these categories ( Jewelry & Watches\Vintage & Antique Jewelry\Costume\Retro, Vintage 1930s-1980s… categories) do not include Condition any longer for listings however the Sixbit Software is not reflecting these ebay updates as the software still gives you the option to select New, Used Or Leave Blank when Ebay does not recognize these options any longer. As a result, the only way you can manage to get a Condtion Description to appear thru the Sixbit Software is to select Used from the drop down.

You should not have to falsely call the Condition of an item Used in the drop dropdown thru Sixbit in order for the Condition Description to now appear on Ebay….

This is an ebay change that Sixbit should be taking into consideration so a Sixbit subcriber can properly list their item through the Sixbit software….

To say this is an issue that I would need to get in touch with ebay about is crazy…

It is the Sixbit Software that has not been updated accordingly to coinicide with the recent changes that ebay has made in regards to these categories and the Conditon / Condition Description.

I pay for a monthly subscription to run and manage lisitngs in ebay… The Sixbit Software should be current with all of these Ebay Updates and it is not….

To Whom It May Concern:

I have found issues with the Condition Description in the Jewelry & Watches\Vintage & Antique Jewelry\Costume\Retro, Vintage 1930s-1980s… categories. The issue is occurring throughout this category whether I am listing necklaces or pendants, bracelets or pins / brooches.

This issue is very similar to the issue another user was having in the Glass Pottery category. Please see the link below:

I am not sure when this began but I noticed it for the first time 2-3 weeks back so I began running some tests to see what was going on…

I run several hundred fixed price listings throughout the Jewelry & Watches\Vintage & Antique Jewelry\Costume\Retro, Vintage 1930s-1980s… categories. I have always used the Condition Description to let buyers know about the Condition of an item…. I would fill in the Condition Description with some details and I would leave the drop down blank and Ebay always used to pickup the Condition Description (The only options in the drop down are New, Used or Leave It Blank) when listing an item through Sixbit.

Sometime recently either Ebay Or Sixbit made changes and all of the Condition Descriptions for all of my items on Ebay disappeared…

If I try to revise an item that lost its’ Condition Description Sixbit will not send the revision to Ebay regarding the Condition Description unless Used is utilized in the dropdown (So if it is left Blank Or New is utilized in the drop down the revision will not be sent).

The only way to get the Condition Description to appear on Ebay in the Jewelry & Watches\Vintage & Antique Jewelry\Costume\Retro, Vintage 1930s-1980s… categories by using Sixbit is to use the Used option in the drop down. This whole drop down should not even be available in Sixbit any longer in regards to items listed in these categories as Condition is not applicable at all to listings in these Ebay Categories now.

I ran some tests directly on Ebay with some items not using Sixbit and the Condition Description can be updated however Ebay does not use or recognize the use of Condition any more for all items in the Jewelry & Watches\Vintage & Antique Jewelry\Costume\Retro, Vintage 1930s-1980s… categories. It states that “Condition is not applicable to this listing” (There is no option to select New, Used Or to leave it Blank on Ebay At All).

My best guess as to what happened is that when Ebay did away with the use of Condition recently in all of the Jewelry & Watches\Vintage & Antique Jewelry\Costume\Retro, Vintage 1930s-1980s… categories if you had a Condition Description it was lost if your dropdown in Sixbit was using either New or it was left Blank.

You should not have to falsely call the Condition of an item Used in the drop dropdown thru Sixbit in order for the Condition Description to now appear on Ebay….
