After installing, it might take a little while for the report to be run and imported. Has it still not updated the inventories?
Originally, there were 4 topics in two forums. One of those forums was called “Talk to Developers”. It was intended for providing info to developers such as “Feature Requests” and “Beta Bugs”.
The title was misleading and some users assumed it was an open line of communication directly to developers that would get timely responses. Therefore, we removed the second forum and put all 4 topics under “Community”. Nothing has been removed other than a group heading.
Our board policy is the same as it always has been. We will monitor the boards, but will always respond to tickets first and foremost. We do not guarantee any response times on the boards. If you have a time sensitive issue, it should be a ticket.
Jeff,
Yes, by setting an allocation plan on the item, you can list it on both venues. When it is ended on one, it can be automatically ended on the other.
I have added a request for reordering of the custom fields. We’ll see what we can do.
For your second request, I want to make sure I understand. Do you want the width of the fields to be smaller so more fields will show on the screen at once?
Looks like this is a good time to lay down some policy thoughts…
First, if a feature is available on a site, like “Latest Ship Date” on Amazon, then it should work in SixBit as the user expects, regardless of who uses or doesn’t use the feature. I believe we have addressed this for the next release.
Second, it can be beneficial to share experiences and offer advice, however, the poster offering the advice needs to understand that the advice may or may not apply to the recipients situation and should respect their decision as to whether to take the advice or not. One thing I have learned doing this for 20 years is that no two businesses are the same and there are many special cases that arise when selling different types of items. All posters should be respectful of other posters and give them the benefit of the doubt that they understand their own business.
Also, I feel very strongly about keeping this site cordial. There is far too much negativity on the internet and other public forums. I simply don’t want to deal with any of that here. We are all professionals with the common goal of making our businesses more efficient so we should act professionally and respectfully. I will be very aggressive in removing posts with negative slants.
Finally, I believe that it posters are much more cordial when they are posting under their own id, name or persona, so please do not try to hide your identity in your user name.
Thanks,
John
Turtlecove is correct. There is an inefficiency in the current process. Until SixBit has the ability to create new items (without an existing ASIN) on Amazon, those listings must be created on Amazon manually, regardless of whether you have created them in SixBit already or not. Our goal is to finish our work on supporting non-ASIN items and then everything will flow smoothly. We’re working on it and trying to finish it as fast as we can.
After looking into it further, I found that the Amazon API will only return a single picture so we can’t actually get all the pictures.
Are you talking about in the Variation grid on the Listing window? If so, you can change the sort order of the grid by clicking the column header. If this isn’t what you are talking about, please include a screenshot.
You can only have 1 Etsy listing per item. To list it to two shop sections each with its own allocation plan, you would need to create two items.
This issue is fixed in the 3.00.108 beta. Also, we are currently adding the ability to import/export business policies via CSV. To get the beta, go to Options|General and turn on the flag to get betas until the next full release. Then, a link for beta will appear on the dashboard.
Dirk,
Amazon is showing a Latest Ship Date of 12/14/16 on their web site. Their API returns the latest ship date with the hour included like this 2016-12-15T07:59:59Z. We believe that since the latest ship date is actually 7:59AM on the 15th that Amazon rounds the time to the previous day. We were truncating the time and using the provided date. We have modified the code for the next beta to do what Amazon is doing and rounding the date to the previous day.
This is the result of an earlier bug in the import of Amazon items. Each of the items shown in your search are variation items and contain a variation with the SKU you are searching on. If you delete all of those items with your current version and reimport, it will import them into a single item.
Correct. It is sorted by most recent reply.
This fix is in the next beta (3.00.105 or later).
A copy of the pictures will be created on the hard drive, then the pictures will be removed from the database. They will be put in SixBit’s own special directory with coded names and aren’t really intended to be edited from that location.
