    Hi James,

You can use multiple user logins with permissions to limit what can be seen or changed.

    Multiple Users

Some sellers use Sixbit as just a Lister and some just for Order Processing. If you process your Orders elsewhere, the status will update in Sixbit automatically on the next refresh from eBay.

If I change my picture hosting from Pair.com (fifteen years with Pair) to ebay will that work? That is, will that remove the violation and make ebay happy? And how would I go about doing that? I googled ebay picture hosting and got nowhere. And what’s the cost of ebay hosting?
eBay photo hosting is free now. In SixBit, just batch change all of your Items to set Self Host Pictures to False and then Revise all running listings. This will clear the stored URLs and upload the pictures to eBay automatically. New Items will have their pictures uploaded if this flag is off too.

If I still self-host and make my pictures https instead of http will that work? If yes, does that mean I have to buy an SSL certificate?
Sort of. You’ll be able to have pictures in the description but not the clickable link. You would need a SSL certificate on your hosting service.

I have a background gif that I like to think is part of my brand. Will ebay host that?
Not with the Item, but you can set up Branding pages or include it with your store.

I sell old records and sometimes link to mp3 recordings I make. Will ebay host those? No. I would suggest making youtube videos and linking to those.

My record listings have a link to my other ebay record auctions. Is that a violation? No, it will still be ok to link those on the same site according to the Links policy.

    Hi Matt,

I didn’t see an email in the queue from you. Did you open it from the program support tab, website or send a direct email?
Try the support@sixbitsoftware.com email address, that should always work.

If you’re having issues with the HTML option, try using one of the other options and let me know if you have any issues with those too.

    Joseph,
Are you running the current full version, 3.00.244?

You’ll have to select a service to offer free shipping with, but if the checkbox is checked it will show as Free Shipping on eBay.

    Hi Matt,

Open a ticket with support and they’ll take a look for you. There shouldn’t be any changes in the new versions to cause that kind of slowness, but they should be able to track down the cause for you.

Is the Description Wrapper still set set correctly on the Listing record? We’ve seen a few cases where this was reverting to “None” which would have then not include Pictures as part of the Revision.

    Hi Matt,

You can update and manage your Sixbit inventory via CSV, XML or with our API. We’re currently working on creating new products on Amazon and some of the latest Ebay updates and should be doing website integration next.

    Hi Shane,

The checkbox should be on the Identifiers tab, from your screenshot the Specs one is selected.

    Hi Ken,

Open a support ticket if you haven’t already. Support can point you in the right direction to fix the path setting for Pictures.

    Thanks,

With the current full version, 3.00.241 the logo should be fixed for both HTTPS and no link. The logo image is permitted.
Selecting your running listings in Sixbit and “Revise|Send Revisions to Site” is all that is required to rebuild the description with the compliant logo. (or removal if subscribed)

Unfortunately the eBay checks aren’t run immediately after revisions, so you won’t see the count go down until they re-run it. We’re trying to get some clarification on how long that will take, and if it can be initiated on your end.

    Hi Shurma,

Make sure your eBay seller accounts are authorized in the Sixbit Business Profile window. With the 241 version, you shouldn’t see this issue. If you are still seeing it, open a support ticket and we’ll be able to help you further.

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi Nabachandar ,

    1. We’ll make this more robust.

    2. We’ll look into the delivery date issue.

    3. We weren’t able to duplicate that here with 3.00.241. Our changes went up.
Product Identifiers are Item fields, so it may not have saved for you in Revise Listings. They did however when we were testing. Editing the Items, going to the Running listings and “Send Revisions to Site” should work for any Running listings once the Items have been updated.
