Hi Brian,
The Custom Label field can be mapped in SixBit to one of 4 fields (SKU, Notes, Storage Location and External Item ID) depending on how you use it. You can set how the field is used in File|Options|Refreshes.
By default , it is Notes, which only pulls the value from eBay it isn’t sent back up. The others are bidirectional and sent to eBay as the Custom Label if changed. SKU should only be used if these are unique values for each Item. Importing from eBay with the SKU option on will merge any items with the same Custom Label, so it’s not recommended if they are not unique. External Item ID is useful for matching to an external Inventory system, while Storage Location is often used when fulfilling Orders in concert with Pick Lists or Packing Lists.

Hi Suzie,
We found and fixed an issue that caused this for 4.00.099. Let us know if you still see it after upgrading.
Thanks,

Hi Lili,
You can export the TL Items and import them into SixBit using a TL CSV file.
I’ll link the tutorial setup video that starts at that point. https://youtu.be/1UEku3zx8Ws?t=307
The TL Setup video library is on the landing page for TL Users. https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/tllanding/#videoTraining
Thanks,

Is the Agent running tasks? Orders coming in automatically?
I would suggest opening a ticket directly with support, they may need to diagnose this with a remote session.

Here’s the setup for sharing a database, and you can open a support ticket if you need more help. https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/EN/Sharing_a_Database_on_a_Local_Area_Network.htm
Once the computers are using the same database and you’re using multiple users, I would also suggest creating those in SixBit. You can also limit the functionality to individual users to creating Items, submitting Listings or processing Orders if you so wish. https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/EN/Multiple_Users.htm
As for the Envelopes, you can customize your own mailing labels in the Report Editor, so making one envelope size shouldn’t be a problem.

So it’s not multiple Items you can split up? In that case you would need a placeholder Item created in the Item Window with no cost. In the Orders window, create additional Shipments and add the placeholder item to them. An empty Shipment would be deleted automatically later, so you’ll need a sale item included to keep it available. If you use SixBit to print postage, tracking will be saved to each shipment. When tracking is sent to eBay, we’ll send all tracking numbers for all shipments contained in that Order.

But you’re numbering as you scan? You should be able to scan directly from the Item Window. You can create say 10 items in Sixbit, either duplicated or from a template, then open the Edit Item window to enter information on one, scan or capture the picture, and then hit the next arrow to save and move to the next one. The picture capture options are covered in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39l5kMqXfsk
If you’re getting all of your images first, do you import with a CSV? That would be easy to create your items with a SKU and Picture column, tied with an Item Template that populates the default shipping and payment options. https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/EN/Importing_from_a_Comma_Separated_Values_Flat_File.htm

Hi Christian,
We’ll look into increasing this for you.

Hi Sharon,
These aren’t in Batch Edit, since they are category specific. You can use Batch Change, which has an Item Specifics tab where all Selected Items are grouped by Category and can be changed in bulk for each category. You’ll see the current category group at the top and and navigation arrows to scroll through each unique category.

Yes, it will pick up the change from eBay on the Daily Refresh. You can also use File|Refresh|Sync Aux. Data to run that check after you are opted in to Managed Payments on eBay.

Hi Kevin,
If you create additional shipments in SixBit and move items from the original shipment to them, you can assign additional tracking numbers. The only limitation right now is splitting multiple quantities of the same item doesn’t work. That should be fixed soon, and the existing workaround is to add a dummy placeholder item to the second shipment in that case.

I haven’t had a request to insert an image name into the SKU before, but we do have the reverse option of naming images after SKU if you store them in the database.
How would that work for multiple pictures? Are you renaming all your images first? Could you just add the SKU to SixBit and then add the picture(s)?
John Manning, Senior Developer
Just check that the option is checked in your Business Profile screen in eBay, and if not, run the File|Refresh|Sync Aux. Data function to refresh that setting from eBay. This runs daily, but you can force it earlier. After that, there isn’t anything extra you’ll need to do. You’ll no longer need to set Payment Presets on your Items prior to submitting.

We’ll look to get it in for an beta in the next few weeks.

When your account is opted in to Managed Payments on eBay, it won’t show any of the existing preset information. You won’t need to do anything on site, or in SixBit to changed new or existing listings.
