A listing record is a partial copy of an Item record. Certain fields are only contained on Items, like Pictures or Variations while others have copies that can be changed independently like prices. There is only one Item record, but they can be several listing records for that Item. Listings on multiple sites, or in the case of eBay, a fixed price listing and an auction listing. Once a listing ends, that historical copy is also available, but a new listing record would be created using the current values (ie. prices) from the Item record. For running listings, when you revise them, you have the option to also update the base Item record with the “apply changes to future items” checkbox. This keeps them in sync. If you want the changes to only last as long as the current listing and not be copied to the next time this item is listing, you would leave that unchecked.
Here’s the Video for creating and editing variations. If you need some additional help or have some questions, open a support ticket and our team will be able to help via a remote session.

Change the Picture variant to Color, in your definition it’s showing as band width. Click the radio button next to color in the column with the camera icon. Then re-add the pictures. When you select a gold one in the variation grid, add a variation picture, likewise for silver. After that, each gold and each silver should show their associated pictures only.

To modify a variation set:
– Right click the variations grid and select Modify Variation Set Definition. This will open the same Manage Variations window that was used to create the variation set.
– Select and add any new item specifics, as well as adding any allowed values to a variant. Any existing values or variants cannot be removed since they may be in use in current or past listings. In addition, the SKU definition cannot be modified at this point either.
– Once the modifications have been made, click Save and Exit.

Sale Events aren’t joined to Listings in SixBit. That criteria is passed to eBay and they determine which ones qualify. The promoted listings criteria are used to select qualifying listings in SixBit so we can then send those IDs to eBay for the campaigns. There are Events that can be specifically ID based, but those IDs are sent at part of the Event and we don’t maintain a link with the Listings.

Looks like an ongoing issue of the UK site. https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Technical-Issues/20-increase-on-listings/m-p/7664021
The workaround appears to be using the Bulk Edit tool on eBay and not to make any changes and it will fix it. The eBay rep suggests ending and relisting to fix it now that they think the problem is resolved.. .
If you’re still seeing the issue with new or relisted items, open a support ticket with us. We will need to get a few examples of the eBay calls and send them directly to API support.
Thanks,
John

In 2021 eBay started collecting VAT directly, so the 20% added on by eBay would be that in the UK. If you are VAT Exempt, you have to register your userid with eBay as such.

Hi Albertine,
Is your variation set created with the Color variation set as the Photo variation? There is an option next to each variation to make it the one Photos key off of. If so, when you edit the Item, you should be able to add pictures to each variation in the variation grid. If you add pictures to the the standard picture area, these are ones that will show for the entire item, regardless of the variation. Common pictures, whereas the ones in the variation grid will vary.

The background agent should be refreshing Orders once every 15 minutes if the computer is running.

If the Agent isn’t running on your computer and refreshing properly, open a support ticket and our team can fix that for you.

Hi Steve,
The Refresh Orders function is limited by eBay to the past 90 days only.

Hi Trish,
No, you won’t need to set anything in SixBit. GSP was enabled on a per item basis, but the replacement EIS is enabled on a account basis, so all eligible Items should have it automatically when listing.

If it’s showing up when doing an update outside of SixBit, it would indicate something already set on the Listing. I think the only way to get rid of that warning would be to list it again. But since it’s a warning, you can ignore it.

Hi Kevin,
You can add a BCC email address to your contact information in you Seller Profile so any emails sent will be copied. https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/EN/Entering_Your_Email_Information.htm
The default email templates included in SixBit can be sent Automatically once enabled in the Manage Emails window. The ones you’d want to use would either be payment acknowledgement or shipping notification. https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/EN/Managing_Emails.htm The background task agent runs refreshes every 15 minutes and will send those out when necessary.
