Hello Albertine,
Deleting pictures from SixBit on items will remove those pictures from the external picture storage folder. Aside from removing pictures from items or deleting the item itself, that is the only way to clean up the external picture storage folder behind the scenes.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions, concerns, or issues.
Sincerely,
Steve Lea

Hello Jeremy,
I tested this exact process here and I was able to reproduce this issue here. I’m passing this along to our developers to dig into.

Hello Shane,
I’ve been using the default SQL 2014 with Windows 11 for over a week now with no issues. Just curious if there are any performance benefits to upgrading to a newer version of SQL?
Not really. Microsoft does some really good improvements on the backend but it’s nothing that would be visually noticeable in a production environment.
On a side note… it would be nice to have users’ Item Window layouts saved/backed up so they do not need to be re-created when re-installing SixBit. As far as I know the save as default in that window doesn’t have the option to save to a backup location.
If you are installing SixBit on a new machine you would have to take the user.config file from the following location and move it to the same location on your new server to get your item window layout back: C:\Users\UserNameHere\AppData\Local\SixBit_Software\SixBit.exe_Url_gdsf5dq0fw1wngtuf50gk5nppxbrsnhs\4.0.436.0
The above process applies to completely new machines getting your window layout back. If it’s the same machine and your just upgrading SixBit or SQL the layout will already exist.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Steve Lea

This issue has been addressed by eBay and SixBit has implemented a patch to address the Actual Shipping Costs missing. This patch is included in v. 4.00.404.

Our developers are looking into this one as we speak. We believe it’s something with our build certificates and we should have this resolved in the next build permanently.

Bob,
Are you doing a lot of batch processes in SixBit for your Etsy listings by chance? Etsy has a call limit per user with their API and it looks like you are hitting that threshold somehow. If you batch revise 1000k listings 25 times you are going to hit that call limit Etsy sets.

Hi Jeremy,
We took a deeper look into this process with another user with a live order and uncovered what eBay is returning back to SixBit. In instances where the seller is printing postage on eBay, once the postage is printed, eBay will return the ShipDate to SixBit at that point and that is initially what gets set on the order. The other side to this we uncovered is that it seems eBay is updating the ShipDate again on orders once the package is scanned in at the facility. This is where the ShipDates yet update again.

Hi Patricia,
No, email accounts are tied to the profile in SixBit so you can only have one email per profile. The origin locations don’t contain emails and are defined on the item you are listing.
Hope that helps!

I have SixBit still running under 2008. Would there be an advantage to upgrading and if so, how do I go about it without messing up SixBit?
Hey Bob,
There would be no major advantages to upgrading SQL from 08 to 14 in terms of SixBit functionality and speed. The biggest differences between SQL versions mostly has to do with SQL specific performance and scalability and security.

Sonia,
I believe the issue here is that this option isn’t actually part of the Etsy listing but is tied to their cart or checkout processes. I will check with our developers to see if this is possible to send but I believe based on what I have read in their API docs it’s not going to be possible. I will let you know in this thread what I uncover.

Hi All,
An update to the Telerik control from the 3.00 to 3.01 versions of SixBit messed up the margins on most reports. For the most part, going into the reports and editing the margins through Telerik Report Editor fixes the issue. Link to our Knowledgebase explains doing this in SixBit: https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/clients/index.php/knowledgebase/82/Editing-Reports-.html
If that doesn’t work there may be another issue going on here that you should consider putting in a ticket to Support for.

Hello Ed,
I did see your original ticket inquiry get a delayed response on 11/14. When you opened the support ticket were you logged into the client area at https://www.sixbitsoftware.com and then opening the support ticket from there? If you email support or submit a ticket any other way than through the Client Area your account doesn’t initially show in our system as having the silver support plan. JC did respond asap from the response that came in the next day.

Good Morning Tammy,
Unfortunately we do not support a native Mac version, however, it should run on a Mac under a Windows emulator like Parallels. There are a few users that use this and run SixBit without issue.
