Same issue here. Everything stopped working today with an older version of sixbit so we upgraded to 3.01.005, nothing works.

Install sixbit on your new computer. Copy that backup to C:\Users\Yourusername\Documents\SixBit Backups
Open sixbit, file>database>open database.

A couple additional requests:

1. We’re currently working in a list of ~1500 items which are partially finished. Once we finish an item, we drag it over to an appropriate folder, after which sixbit jumps back to the top of the list. Then we have to scroll back down through 1500 items to find the next item we’re trying to finish. If possible, please eliminate the jumping screen when dragging and dropping, and when deleting items.

2. When option is checked to not allow titles longer than 80 characters, one beep would be sufficient when hitting the 80 character mark. Currently, when we reach 80 characters we get a beep, and then when we cursor over to find something to remove we get constant beeping with every stroke of the arrow key. It should beep once, or not at all.

3. Please set recently used categories to only display categories recently used by that user if possible.
In other words, I don’t want to see our other employees recently used categories on my list.

4. A nice feature we had in our previous lister which I’m finding myself missing a lot is a “space limiter”. In the title box, it’s quite helpful if the program allows a maximum of 1 space in a row. This is great for efficiency. Sometimes you forget whether or not you added a space, and it can difficult to tell by looking at the box. If you add another space to check but there already was a space there, then you have to backspace to start typing. With a limiter, I can hit space as many times as I want and I know there will only be 1 there. This helps to make the most use of the 80 character limit on eBay.

5. Going back to the category selectors, I think it may be helpful to point out that I’m using a touch screen, and so the problems described in that request are even more pronounced for me. In fact, those problems carry over to most aspects of sixbit. Most of the buttons are just too small to make clicking with my finger efficient, so after a couple misses with my finger I resign and go grab the mouse to do it. Personally, I would find it greatly helpful if there were some more customization options for enlarging different aspects of the software to make it more touchscreen friendly.

6. Please allow editing of an item while the picture editor window is open.

7. Would really like a button added to the pictures tab for merging photos together. Ideally we could highlight the pictures desired, click “merge”, and be given an option of how the new picture should be arranged (vertically, horizontally, or if more than 2 then in a square formation). This new created photo would be in addition to the ones already there, not replacing them. We’re currently doing this externally and it takes longer than we’d like.

2. Our previous lister was able to add this for us so we could save the step of having to erase the title every time. I wonder if the problem is a little bit different process where duplicating in our previous lister didn’t actually create a new item until pressing “save and exit”. Sixbit creates a new item immediately. I still would like to see this changed if possible.

8. I understand your concerns and appreciate the examples you provided. Fortunately, none of those examples apply to us. Each person working has a roll of SKU numbers in their hand. Pictures are named by scanning the SKU for that item, then adding A B C etc. It is therefore impossible for two different users to produce 2 of the same filename. Similarly, since all pictures are renamed to the SKU, the camera filename rollover isn’t an issue.

Occasionally, a user will forget to put a SKU number in the SKU box. If the pictures were named the SKU, then it is easy for us to tell what the SKU number is supposed to be. However, since sixbit renames them, it can be a problem trying to figure out where that item is to see what SKU is on it.
