Linking Between Modes

There are three major modes in SixBit; they include the Sell Items mode, Check Listings mode and Ship Orders mode.  Each of these modes contains data that is related to the other modes.  For example, an order contains one or more items that appeared in one or more listings or an item can appear in several different orders.   You may find that you want to link to this related data quickly, therefore, you can see the item records for a selected order or the order record for a particular listing.  These can all be performed by using the GoTo functionality.

 

Linking can also be used to view a particular subset of rows in the current view.  

 

 

 

You can quickly link to other modes by:

  • using the GoTo button on the ribbon bar
  • using the GoTo entries in the grid context menu
  • clicking on key areas of the record or sidebar.

 

 

To link to other modes using the GoTo button:

  1. From the grid, select the record(s) that you would like to link from.   Multiple records may be selected to view related information for more than one record.
  2. Click the arrow under the GoTo button on the ribbon bar to see the options of what information can be vieweed.   Click the link that will be followed.

 

 

To link to other modes using the context menu:

  1. From the grid, select the record(s) that you would like to link from.   Multiple records may be selected to view related information for more than one record.
  2. Right click the grid and choose the "Go to...." link that will be executed.

 

 

To link to the current mode:

  1. From the grid, select the record(s) that you would like to work with.   Multiple records may be selected to view related information for more than one record.
  2. Right click the grid and choose the "Go to...." link that points to the current mode.  For example, to see only selected listings in Check Listings, select the desired listings, then right click and choose "Go to Selected Listings".  This will display only the selected listings.  It is a good way to eliminate unwanted rows from your view.
