Importing from an Existing SixBit Database
There are instances when having more than one SixBit database is useful. This includes managing different businesses or listing on different regional sites. When creating a new database, it is helpful to be able to copy both existing data and existing database settings to the new database.
Moving existing data between database is simple using the export/import CSV/XML options. The Import Database Settings option will allow for importing additional settings and data you have defined in another database. For example, when creating a new database, you may want to import the Description Wrappers you have in another database.

To import settings from an existing SixBit database:
- From the File Menu button in the upper left, choose Database|Import Database Settings.
- Provide the connection information (including Computer, SQL Instance, Authentication Type, Userid, Password and Database name) to the source database.
- Select the type(s) of data to import.
- Click OK to begin the import. Existing data of the same name will not be overwritten, only new data will be imported.
